Fabrizia Ketelaars

Fabrizia Ketelaars holds a Master’s degree in Health Sciences from Maastricht University and has gained experience at various institutions involved in oncology, such as Maastricht University Medical Center (MUMC+) and the Netherlands Comprehensive Cancer Organization (IKNL). Since 2014, she has been directly involved with the formation of the Comprehensive Cancer Network in the Southeast of the Netherlands, known as OncoZON. The network consists of 9 hospitals and 1 independent institute for radiotherapy, covering a region of approximately 2 million people.

In her role as network manager, she has successfully led OncoZON through the accreditation process of the Organization of European Cancer Institutes (OECI) over the past two years, achieving this prestigious accreditation in April of this year, making OncoZON the first large region in Europe to receive it. Establishing structural collaboration agreements with primary care providers in the region is seen as one of the objectives for the coming years.
