Anja Mehnert-Theuerkauf, PhD, is Professor and Head of the Department of Medical Psychology and Medical Sociology at the University Hospital of the University of Leipzig, Germany.

She is an editor for journals such as Acta Oncologica and Frontiers in Psychology Section Psycho-Oncology.

Her scientific interests include mental and functional health, prevention, as well as psychotherapy research in patients with cancer.
